Once the home of the Nguyen Dynasty, Hue is located nearly smack bang in the middle of Vietnam on the Perfume River. The historic citadel is the major drawcard for the city, however, there are a number of tombs and temples to also visit, not to mention a cruise down the river, where you could even see a local swim training.
With not as many tourists clogging the roads it’s easy to capture the locals living life, and gives you a bit of a break from the hussle and bussle of the bigger cities.
